 | St. Moritz: Maurice Steger offers for the first time a master-class for recorder in the sublime landscape of the Swiss mountains at the lake of St. Moritz
| | The class is aimed at students and professional musicians as well as auditors. It will be held at the Chesa da Cultura on Lake St. Moritz from 8 – 15 September 2012. The opening will take place on 8 September 2012 at 6:00 p.m., with the final concert on 14 September 2012. Active participants will receive instruction in several areas: ?Maurice Steger will be assisted by Sebastian Wienand at the harpsichord. The focus will be mostly on solo works for recorder, including baroque sonatas and concertos, as well as ensemble pieces from the 16th to 18th centuries. Enrolment in separate lessons in technique with Maurice Steger is also possible. Both instructors will work closely with participants on particular topics in separate rooms so as to allow for individual instruction for all participants. In this way the course will provide students with optimal learning opportunities through close guidance. The repertoire will include all forms of baroque music for recorder, from solo sonatas to chamber music, as well as solo works of the avant-garde. | |
